I created this blog for my friends and family (but mostly just for myself) to document my study abroad trip to Bonn, Germany from September 2011 to JULY!!!! 2012.

First post from my iPad
Testing 1,2,3..... It is really really difficult to find wifi around here, so my ipad has been not as useful as it was in the states, however I decided to make a pit stop in starbucks today to ***study**** cough cough cough.... But I got distracted when my ipad suddenly came to life. Just thought i would add a tiny blog just to say hello. The christmas market opens up here on Friday, so it is looking quite cheerful in Bonn right now, I have never felt so festive in mid November. Only about a month left until the family joins me over here, and i will not allow mom to take one step into starbucks which she is here, there is too much to experience! I have been slammed with homework this week for the first time really since coming here. So much to do before this weekend, luckily i have fridays off so there is only today and tomorrow left. Yesterday we went to the pleasure palace of Clemens august, who was the kurfurst (see blog from yesterday to be reminded i don't really know what the translation of that is, but it is really high in the German feudal system) of cologne, who also built the university building that i houses my classes now. When bonn was the capital of Germany, it was used to house important people while they stayed here, most recently Nelson Mandela spent some time in the palace. Thought that was interesting.... Anyway, best get back to my studying, auf wiederschreiben!
